KitchenShare is a certified, communal kitchen rental program designed for passionate food artists ready to take their craft to the next level. Operated by Heritage Hub, a local food support system dedicated to diversifying Tallahassee’s economy, KitchenShare provides the operational space and support services needed to turn ideas into thriving food businesses.
Membership: Gain full access to our commissary kitchen, allowing you to prepare, cook, and create in a fully equipped, certified space. Please note that storage is not included.
Commissary Access (with an Access Card): Provides use of essential shared facilities, including the ice machine, dishwashing area, dumping station, and trash disposal—perfect for food businesses needing reliable resources without full kitchen access.
Commissary Access (without an Access Card): Limited to dumping access only, ensuring a sanitary and efficient cleanup option for businesses operating in compliance with health and safety standards.
Whether you’re launching a new food venture or expanding an existing one, KitchenShare is here to support your journey.
KITCHENSHARE SPACE IS AVAILABLE EITHER ON A PRIVATE OR SHARED BASIS
KitchenShare is considered both a Commercial Kitchen by definition as well as a Kitchen Incubator. KitchenShare offers private space that is used by one of its clients at a time. Such space varies in size from a few hundred square feet to over 1,000 square feet and varies in the amount of equipment. KitchenShare offers a shared space that consists of several food preparation tables surrounded by a wide range of equipment. More than one client works within the space.
KitchenShare allows its clients to receive on-site private deliveries. It is the responsibility, however, of the client to procure and secure the deliveries. Kitchen Share rent also provides a process for its clients to ensure responsibility and liability.
